Santa Claus Melons are a special treat for the home gardener. This melon originates from Turkey but is best known as being grown in Spain. The flavour of Santa Claus melons is delicate and sweet with a full aroma that will fill the room. These melons are best eaten fresh. Stores well in appropriate cold storage.

Growing melons from seed is very easy. In cooler climates with short summers they are best started 4 weeks before last frost in plantable peat or coir containers. Once nighttime temperatures have risen above 10 degrees Celsius it is safe to plant your melons outside. Water consistently throughout the growing season but avoid the leaves to minimize the possibility of powdery mildew. Matures in 110 days.
