Latin Cosmos bipinnatus 'Picotee'
This stunning variety of cosmos is a must have for the flower enthusiast. The picotee variety delivers the same large, daisy-like white flower, of traditional cosmos but with a splash of pink or red along the fringes. Grows between three and four feet tall for a very versatile introduction to your garden. This cosmos is a magnificent specimen in your garden and also in a vase. Easy to grow and highly attractive to all types of pollinators.
This Mexico native is incredibly easy to grow and is suitable for all zones. We recommend directly sowing cosmos for the best results. Once the soil can be worked and the danger of frost has passed, sow seeds 1/4" deep and cover lightly. Germination will usually occur in about 5 days but can take up to 2 weeks if conditions are poor. Once cosmos are growing they require little to no care. Removing spent flowers will prolong flowering time. In windy areas you may need to stake them to prevent falling over.
