The Red Kuri Squash is a thin skinned, orange coloured, Japanese Hubbard squash is also known as Orange Hokkaido. This squash bears tear dropped shaped fruit that is excellent in pies, purees and soups. The flavour profile of Red Kuri squash is a mellow and delicate chestnut taste. Nutritionally, squash provides loads of fiber and many other vitamins and minerals. A healthy and tasty addition to any garden. When mature the Red Kuri variety looks much like a pumpkin without the ridges.

Red Kuri squash is widely adapted to many growing climates but requires a growing season of close to 100 days, so start early indoors. Most vines will produce 3 fruits each. For best results grow in full sun. Matures in 95 days. Start indoors 3-4 weeks before last frost. Heirloom variety.
