Can also be used to repel mosquitos on patios during summertime. Beautiful long leaves make it an attractive tropical foliage plant.

Start seeds in a soilless growing medium anytime of the year. Using a grow mat will greatly improve germination success. Requires full sun for optimal performance, so place in the sunniest location in your home. This is critical during the winter months when many plants lack enough sunlight up here in the north. If you decide to take your plants outside in the summer, remember to ensure they are pest free before returning them inside.
