Bastan Pepper

Latin capsicum annuum

The Bastan Pepper is an F1 hybrid Poblano style pepper with deep glossy green colour and medium sized fruit. This plant has an upright habit and has prolific fruiting characteristics. Earlier maturing than most hot peppers at 65 days makes this a great option for northern gardeners. Heat is mild to moderate with this pepper at 2,000 Scoville. It is excellent for stuffing.

We still recommend starting your Bastan Peppers indoors 5-7 weeks before last frost to ensure a full season of production. Using a heating mat with pepper seeds will greatly increase speed and likelihood of germination. Plant in full sun for best results.
