The Alaska Shasta Daisy is one of the original Luther Burbank varieties developed. With over 100 years of history, this tried and true variety of daisy has stood the test of time. The large flowers, long bloom time and strong garden performance makes the Alaska variety our go-to daisy. We use this variety for our cut-flower bouquets.

Growing this Shasta Daisy from seed is quite easy and can be done both indoors and out. Like most daisies, light is very important for germination. Sow seeds on the surface of your mixture and germinate with cooler temperatures. We do not recommend using a heating mat for this variety if growing indoors.

Start 8-12 weeks before last frost if a head start is required. Plant in full sun for best results.
