The Old Striped German Tomato is a beautiful heirloom variety. This indeterminate tomato bears enormous solid or bi-colour beefsteak fruit that can weigh up to 2lbs each. The fully yellow or orange and yellow stripes, along with the ribbed shoulders give it a unique look. These tomatoes add a golden touch to any meal. The flavour is fruity, smooth, complex and well rounded. This is a fan favourite of chef's around the world.

For best results plant tomatoes in full sun and in climate areas with hot summers. This variety can be grown in containers but use a container that is at minimum 5 gallons and 12-18" deep. Striped German tomatoes will definitely require staking as both the fruit and plant are quite large. Start tomatoes 6-8 weeks before the last frost.
