Rainbow Striped Coleus

Latin coleus scutellarioides

This variety boast striped, solid and rainbow coloured leaves. Colours vary but you can expect a blend of yellow, orange, cream, red, green, and copper. Plants mature to a height of 18". Coleus is known for its adaptability to different light conditions. Light shade will provide the deepest colours.

Growing coleus is easy but is best done indoors 8-12 weeks before last frost. Using a pre-wet soilless medium, thinly scatter seeds and press into surface. Do not cover as coleus needs light to germinate. Use bottom heat for these seeds for best results. Once germinated grow on at room temperature under grow lights.
