New Look™ Celosia

Latin celosia plumosa

The New Look™ Celosia has brightly coloured flowers that will be the most vibrant part of your annual garden. Bright, nearly fluorescent scarlet flowers adorn a 16" tall plant. Foliage of this variety is a nice bronze colour as opposed to the traditional green. Deservedly an AAS winner.

Growing celosia from seed is best done directly into your garden bed in late spring for July blooms. If you want to start early, it is possible but we would recommend using plantable peat or coir pots. Sow seeds 1/8" deep and barely cover. Use bottom heat for the first week of germination. Water with luke warm water throughout the growing process and plant into a full sun location as celosia performs poorly in shadier spots.
