Latin Ipomoea tricolor 'flying saucer'

Morning Glories are native to Mexico and Central America. The Flying Saucer Morning Glory variety is a rapidly growing vine that boasts white striped, blue trumpet flowers. These vines add a graceful beauty to any garden. Vines are so vigorous that 10-15' in a season is completely normal. Flowers are abundant, fragrant and can be as wide as 5" across. These flowers will also attract hummingbirds, butterflies and other pollinators to your garden. Flowers close at night and re-open in the morning to give a spectacular show.

Morning Glories are easy to grow from seed but to be successful, the seeds need to be soaked overnight in room temperature water. Morning glories are very frost sensitive so ensure any chance of frost has passed before seeding or planting outside. In fact, anything below 5 degrees Celsius will negatively impact their growth so plan accordingly. Plant in full sun and with something for them to climb for best results. Start indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost or alternatively directly sow into garden.
