Have a hot and sunny spot that's difficult to grow? Portulaca is your solution. Known for its incredible tolerance to drought and high heat levels, portulaca will not only survive but provide brilliantly coloured flowers. This mixture produces beautiful red, white and yellow double and semi double flowers.

Growing to mature height of 8" makes this an excellent ground cover. Portulaca is easy to grow from seed and can be started indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost or it can be directly sown in late May. Seeds should be scattered on soil mixture (soilless if indoors) and left uncovered. Seeds germinate at a higher temperature so a heating mat is recommended. Plant into direct sunlight after hardening off if starting indoors.
