A colorful bean variety with ornamental qualities along with great creamy and 'nutty' flavour. This cream colored heirloom variety is sought after for its attractive qualities and for its high quality taste in Italian cooking. Often used in soups, salads, pasta or steamed and served over polenta. This variety is the most commonly used heritage variety of bean in Italy.
Plant in full sun and sow directly into garden once the danger of frost has passed or alternatively, sow indoors, 4-6 weeks before last frost. Indoor sowing often results in a higher germination rate because of the consistency of indoor temperatures and the protection from slugs or other predatory insects. Matures in approximately 70 days.
