Latin Asteracaea Tagetes patula
The Brocade Marigold is an easy to grow, beautiful addition to any garden. This French variety of Marigold produces large vibrant flowers that are a mix of red, gold and orange. The 2" flowers are double crested and blend together the three colours magnificently. Foliage comes in dense and is a dark green in colour. The Brocade variety will grow to approximately a foot tall, which makes this variety a great option for borders and containers alike. Marigolds are known to perform well in many conditions and will help repel some varieties of insects and nematodes. The flower petals are also edible and function well as a garnish to any plate. Remove spent flowers regularly to encourage continued flowering.
Plant Marigolds in full sun for best performance. They are drought tolerant once established. Marigolds take between 5 and 14 days to germinate.
