Grow in full sun or partial shade for best results. Hardy to Zone 3. Added to all of these great characteristics, Black Eyed Susan is easy to grow from seed. This seed is best directly sowed into the garden in late fall to take advantage of natural stratification. If starting indoors you will have to follow a stratification process. Sow these in a soilless mixture in February for best results. Sufficiently "harden off" before planting into their permanent location.
