The Black Velvet Nasturtium is a unique addition to your garden. The dark almost velvety blooms will garner much attention. The flowers are actually a rich mahogany colour but give the appearance of being black. The dark flowers are set on a background of bright green foliage. Plants remain compact (6-12" tall) and are a great option for containers. As with other Nasturtiums, the leaves and flowers are edible and make an excellent addition to any salad.

Growing nasturtiums from seed is very easy. We recommend sowing them directly into the garden or containers that you are growing in. Nasturtium doesn't transplant well so we don't recommend starting early. If you must, start them in plantable peat or coir pots. Sowing a new crop every couple of weeks will extend flowering time.
