Latin eucalyptus pulverulenta
Baby Blue Eucalyptus is an excellent improvement on the Silver Dollar Eucalyptus variety. Grown for its column-like habit and dense foliage, this Eucalyptus will produce an abundance of sturdy branches loaded with silvery-blue leaves. This variety is highly fragrant, making it excellent for cut flowers or to grow in the home.
Growing Eucalyptus from seed is quite easy but should be done indoors to start. In a soilless mixture sow seeds 1/4" deep and apply bottom heat to help with germination. Once sprouted they can be grown under grow lights and at a cooler temperature of about 16 degrees Celsius. Make sure you harden off your plants sufficiently before planting them into their outdoor home. These can also be successfully grown indoors as long as they are in a very sun location.
